- Largely built out between 1950 and 1965, which puts a lot of the original galvanized supply pipe right at the end of its life. It closes up from the inside, so pressure fades over years rather than failing suddenly.
- Mix of slab and raised-foundation homes depending on the street and the grade, so access under the house varies enormously block to block.
- Clay sewer laterals are common in the older sections, and the mature street trees that make the neighborhood pleasant are the same ones putting roots through the joints.
